synchronising Windows mail with OE

I wonder if there is any synchronisiation program that can fully and
automatically convert and synchronise all the messages between these e-mail
programs in cases such as mine: on a Laptop I have XP with OE and on my
Desktop Vista with Windows mail. (In the past I had been using a program
called SyncBackSE to synchronise Documents, Pictures, Address Book and all
the OE store as I had XP and OE on both machines. )

thanks

I have the same (very similar) problem. I have OE on my main computer and
just bought a laptop with Vista. I need to take the vista on the road and
be able to sync it with the main XP computer when I return home.

I use OE on the XP computer and I wonder if using Outlook on both machines
would simplify or make it possible?

Any suggestions appreciated,

Tom

I don't think Outlook can do it unless both clients are connected
to the same Exchange server.
Another way would be to get an IMAP account, which is similar
to webmail but works with most POP clients. AOL gives away
free IMAP accounts: http://free.aol.com.

But how would that help with synchronisation?
I have a Gmail account with POP access but it still does not solve my
problem. While I have all the messages on the Web I finish with some
messages on the laptop and some on the desktop depending on which I activate
Outlook Express at a given time. Gmail web account does not allow me to
download only messages that are missing.

I agree that Gmail will not do what you want, but I think an
IMAP account could. Perhaps someone who is familiar with
IMAP accounts can tell us if it will keep two computers
synchronized as far as email.
