synchronisation failure

Greetings

trying to sync files on my portable computer with the files server, the
synchronisation stops and I get the following error msg and event ID:

Event ID: 16
Source Offline Files
Type Error
Description Encryption of the Offline Files cache failed with error 5.
Access is denied.

I'm using XP SP2. How can I fix this thing ? Can't find a fix on MS site.

Take a look at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810859/en-us
and you can also try to execute the following command on your laptop:
cipher /u using admin rights!

/U Tries to touch all the encrypted files on local drives. This
will
update user's file encryption key or recovery agent's key to
the
current ones if they are changed. This option does not work
with
other options except /N.
