any way to get the same playlist running on several PCs at
the same time?

it would be nice to hear the family room playing the same
song as the bedrooms, etc..

Why don't you have ONE computer playing the music,
connecting it up to several speakers?

what a stupid suggestion. I already have several PCs
connected to their own sound systems.

Again, I want the same song playing at the same time no
matter where you are in the house.

Anybody know if this can be done? I could deploy a
streaming media server and run a "radio station" over the
internet, but I am interested in knowing if Windows Media
is capable of doing the same thing across a local network
instead.

Not a stupid question at all.

What you doing, running laps through your house, or is
there mass segregation in your house?

WHy do you want music playing in a room you're not in?

WTF is this?? Can a single playlist run accross multiple
computers or not?

If you don't know the answer, don't post you big genius.
You sound like a kid living in your mommy's house with one
PC. Get a grip, will ya. There is a great big world out
there you obviously haven't seen yet.

Remember, it's better to remain silent and considered a
fool then to speak out and remove all doubt.

What you are wanting to do is to setup an MP3 server. J. River Media Center is
one way that you could do it, but I'm sure there are free ways as well; most
likely using WinAmp.
