sync journal with contacts

I am using the journal in outlook to record all my phone calls meetings
e-mails etc. It works well but I can't find a way to connect the entries
with my contacts. I need to have a chronological record of all my
communications and work but I also would like the info to be posted on
contacts. Then when I open a contact, ei Mr. Jones I would have a
chronological record of all the work done for Mr. Jones without having to
fish through the journal to find it.

Can this be done?

use the contact field to add the contact to the journal then use the
Activities tab on the contact to see all associated items.
