Symmetric Multi-Processing - XP Home

I know that Windows XP Home has support for dual-core processors. However,
I've been reading that it does not support SMP.

What this means to me is that Home users can assign certain apps to certain
cores, but can not take advantage of multithreaded apps, correct?

Basically, I just want to know if XP Home supports SMP.

Correct.

If you have two separate processors, it can use only one of them.

No, as you correctly read, and as I said above.

However XP Pro does. It is one of the differences between the two versions.
Also while XP Home does support HyperThreading the result is that it does
not support dual core properly, you lose a major chunk of the benefit.
