Symbols in Outlook emails

How do I get rid of these marks (not sure what to call them). They show up
everytime I create or respond to an email:


They are the return symbol, paragraph symbols, etc.

You are evidently using Word as your email editor and showing non-printing
characters. To turn them off: Tools-->Options-->View and uncheck any
formatting marks you do not want.
