After performing, over the Internet, Symantec Security Check on my desktop
computer, I got message that ports ICM Ping and port 80 are open, which
means that unauthorized persons can make connections to my computer.
Symantec recommended installing a personal firewall, however my SP2 firewall
is "on" and also my hardware (router) firewall is also "on"
My question is what I should do in order to improve my security?
I have LAN consist of one desktop connected to cable modem via router (wired
connection) and notebook (has wireless connection to the router). Both
computers have Win XP professional with SP2 update installed.
Thanks in advance, Anton
