Sylpheed 2.2.3 has the facility to import an address book in Ldif format.

It is a complicated undocumented facility, which for me only imports the
e-mail addresses, and not the names and companies in the Ldif file.

Can anyone actually import e-mail addresses, names and companies from an
Ldif file ?

Any help would be appreciated.

When you're importing the ldif file and you've selected the file, the next
dialog box is looking for the ldif field you want to import. Importing the
"dn" field should bring over everything (if memory serves).

I just tried it exporting from Thunderbird and importing into Sylpheed.
Doubleclicking the dn field so that it shows up in the the "Attribute"
field on that dialog box worked.
