Switching users

There are 4 users on our home computer, and when I click on my account it takes
forever to boot up because it wants to start my kids programs, like instant
messenger, friends and etc. Is there a way when I click on my user icon that
it will
take me to my home page and not load everyone else's programs ?

log them off after each use. By keeping them logged on you are keeping all
their open programs and their programs that run in the background active, if
you don;don't want to do that, the close all their applications before
switching users.And check the startup in folder in msconfig for All user
accounts, disable all items that are not needed to run at startup. The only
things you need to run at startup are your av type programs.
