Switching hard drives

We have a new 80Gig hard drive and want to transfer
everything over from the old hard drive (it is needed
elsewhere). How can I copy everything over, including the
Windows 2000 operating system?
I tried loading Windows 2000 on the new one and then
transferring ALL files over(including System and Program
Files) but somethings didn't work. Such as Norton
Systemworks, and even when reinstalled it still wouldn't
work.

Use an imaging tool such as DriveImage from PowerQuest,
or Ghost.
