Switching from Outlook Express 6 to outlook97

Hello All

I am contemplating switching from Outlook Express 6 to outlook97 - mainly
because I want to have a rule that says 'Print all emails from ...'.
In order to switch from OE to Outlook, is it a simple matter of:

setting up the email accounts in Outlook
removing the accounts from OE
importing the address book from OE to Outlook
importing emails from OE to Outlook
importing folders from OE to Outlook

....or is it more difficult than that?

Yes

No - EXPORT *from* Outlook Express - this keeps the sent and received dates
intact

|| importing folders from OE to Outlook

That'll be done when you export from OE automatically

Many thanks for your reply.

I can hardly believe it will be that easy! Surely there is some other
jiggery-pokery that I need to do to make sure everything transfers OK and
that all my email goes to and from Outlook reliably? Not having used Outlook
before for emailing (I've used it for Calendar), is there anything about it
that I should know in advance?

Not really - just make sure that in OE you have deleted everything you don't
want, emptied your Deleted Items Folder, and compacted all folders before
you start the transfer.
