drive letters for my cd/dvd drive and my cd/rw drive...

You can use Disk Management snap-in to reassign non-system/ non-boot
partition drive letters.
Start|Run|diskmgmt.msc

Note that some settings in the registry, that point at
paths and sources for the installation and may affect
future upgrades of servicepacks and application updates by
Windows Installer, may have to be modified to be in line
with the new drive-letters you are assigning to cd-rom
drive etc.
