Hi,

I've created a huge word document and turned on the Track Changes option.
Now that I have finished I would like to send the document out to clients.
But I can't seem to turn the Track Changes option off. Can someone please
tell me how to do this. I have word 2003. It was easy in previous versions.

Regards

Click TOOLS in the menu, select TRACK CHANGES and click the TRACK CHANGES
WHILE EDITING check box off.

It is not sufficient to turn Track Changes off if you don't want the clients
to see your edits. You must also Accept All Changes in Document. This
command is found on the menu you get when you click the arrow beside the
Track Changes button on the Reviewing toolbar.

Unfortunately that will only prevent further changes from being tracked. Any
markup in the doc will continue to be there & are capable of being revealed.
In fact, even if you set the dropdown to "Final", the markup will
automatically display the next time you or anyone else opens the doc.

The only way to remove the accrued markup once Track Changes has been
activated in a doc is to Accept or Reject each & every change, then turn the
feature Off & save.
