swf not keeping playing=true state

I have many swf files embedded in my presentation. All are working fine
except for the ones on page 11. The ones on page 11 play normally while I
have Powerpoint open, but if I save, close and then re-open the swf's only
on page 11 don't keep their 'playing=true' status. They change to
'playing=false', and don't play at all. All the swf files are just
animations, and the ones on page 11 are actually less complex. The only
difference is that I have multiple swf's on page 11, each of the other
pages only have one large swf per page.

I suppose that just before I give my presentation, I could open it the
presentation up and set each to 'playing=true', and it works fine as long
as I don't close the presentation. That isn't really the best way to do
it, I would like it to work as it should. Any ideas?

I was able to get it to work with a little VBA. When the slide opens I set
each swf to rewind & play . It works, but the underlying problem is still
there.
