SWF in Powerpoint

I am using PPT 2003. Following the directions exactly as outlined in PPT
Help I am able to successfully embed a .swf. Upon embedding the file, I can
also play it in Slideshow mode -- exactly once. Upon trying to play the .swf
a second time while still in Slideshow mode, the screen is blank.

Upon switching back to normal mode and getting into the properties to see
what is happening, for some reason the Playing property switches itself from
True to False. Even if I get into the properties and change it back to True,
the .swf will not play again. In order to get it to work, I have to remove
the embedded file, close the presentation and start over.

Any ideas about how to remedy this so that I can permanently embed the .swf
and get it to properly work repeatedly?
