Swapping Cells in Excel

P

Pat

Hey Guys,

I'm a novice at Excel and i'm currently creating a spreadsheet for some of
the workers on my team. I work in a hotel and we have a conference board that
we amend every day. However our Conference board doesn't have enough spaces
for each individual Conference Room. So we have to keep swapping labels
whenever we need to use one that isn't already up.

What I wanted to do is create a spreadsheet that had all the conference
rooms on the spreadsheet. Which I have done. Then what I want to do is to
have the ability to have a list of all the unused labels and be able to swap
them around if needs be. e.g.

Conference Room 2 Conference Room 4
NEXT DIRECTORY FHM Magazine

Conference Room 6

Unused Labels
Conference Room 4
Conference Room 5

I want to be able to swap Conference Room 6 for Conference Room 4 by either
clicking or a button. Or if i type Conference Room 4 in the Conference Room 6
cell for Conference Room 6 to immediatey jump into the unused labels section.

I know this sounds a bit bizarre. But i was wondering if you could help

I want to be able to

Hi Pat,

It doesn't sound bizarre to me, it's just a little difficult to picture
exactly what it is you are doing. Anyway, I use a spreadsheet that sounds
similar to what you are doing. I whipped up a spreadsheet based on what I
think you are asking using my formulas, send me an email if you want to try
it: xtreme#####@gmail.com.
Note: Replace "#####" with "grace" in my email address.
