Right click on the My Computer icon and select Properties. Or open
System Properties in the Control Panel.

Once System Properties are open go to the Advanced tab and click the
Settings button under Performance. This will bring up your performance
options. Go to the Advanced tab and click the Change button under
Virtual memory.

At Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance Settings - Advanced -
Virtual Memory. Click on the C drive and use Custom to change sizes,
click Set to implement them before moving on.

For 384MB , something like 250 initial as a start, but have the Maximum
size well up, say 800 or more. And then see if c:\pagefile.sys grows at
all; if so, increase the initial size to a bit more than it gets to in
normal use. If it is actually using that sort of amount of page file,
some more RAM would pay off.
