Hello
Is there any way to swap 3rd and 4th mouse button? I checked the registry
but couldnt find anything in particular. It would be kind of stupid to write
filter driver of mouclass just to do that.

You should have a mouse program that gives you that option.

Yes, I did, there is nothing useful there.

I don't believe that all the buttons on four button mouse will work without
specific mouse software.
A keyboard with extra buttons has a special driver.
What kind of a mouse is it?

It does. All four buttons are recognized in both system (3rd is all
direction scroll function, and 4th is backward), and games. Unfortunatly
thumb button is marked as 4th, and Unreal Tournament which I mainly play is
limited to only 3 buttons, therefore I cant bind 4th.
A keyboard with extra buttons has a special driver.

It depend on buttons, for example so called multimedia buttons like vol
up/down, play, stop etc. should work fine on windows drivers.
What kind of a mouse is it?

Logitech Dual Optical.
Installing Logitech drivers is not an option, cause they change mouse
behavior profile which would result in temporary drop in performance which I
cannot afford right now. Besides usualy there is a lot of problems with
installing any drivers during tournaments, so drivers are disadvantage for
those used to them.

When you get the chance, I would use the Logitech driver designed for the
mouse.

As I said, drivers also tend to change mouse behavior, which mean I would
have to get used to them, and that also mean that temporary my performance
wouldnt be as good as it should be. Also if during one certain tournament I
would be allowed to install them, and during another one not, that would
create some serious problem since you cant just switch like that all the
time and give your best. Its the same like playing on someone else mouse.

There must be some way to swap these buttons in windows without drivers or
mouclass filter. I will continue searching till either I will find it, or
give up, and code filter :P
