SVCHOST

Hi.
I am using Windows XP Pro and my question is should an svchost.exe be trying
to access the internet in anyway, also what other applications should be
trying to access the internet in a basic XP Pro install. Besides the
programs i have installed on my puter like anti-virus and firewall I have had
windows explorer try to access the internet along with services and apps, but
if i deny them access the computer freezes up i am using zone alarm pro and
trend micro pc-cillin is there any one who might be able to help me figure
this out ¿
