SVCHOST Processes

Someone told me that there is a way to determine what processes run under
SVCHOST, and possibly shut unnecessary ones down. Is this the case? If so,
can someone tell me how to do it?

For XP Professional:
Click Start | run | type "tasklist -svc"

Buck, do a search on your keywords. There were some
discussions in the past two years on that subject.

That's the correct command, but it should be entered from the
command prompt, rather than the Start > Run window, unless the user
can read awfully fast. ;-}
