On a home computer we are using Win 2000 Pro and
continually receive the following error; "svchost.exe
generated errors and will be closed by Windows you will
need to restart the program." Any idea why the error may
occur?

I have also noticed in the Event Viewer that under System,
I have received several Source: DCOM, Event: 10010
errors?

I'm not sure if the problems are caused by a single source
or if I have multiple problems?

svchost in unfortunately just a generic process launcher, so there's no
clue as to what's going wrong. If you install the Support Tools
(\support\tools on the Windows CD-ROM) you can use tlist to find out
exactly what gets run by svchost and hopefully figure out which DLL is
causing it to crash.

The latest mBlaster virus causes svchost to crash.
Try scanning your hard drive with a virus scanner and see what happens.
