Hi,
Having problem with SVCHOST.EXE (win2000professional).
When logging on internet I get the message SVCHOST.exe
HAS GENERATED ERRORS AND WILL BE CLOSED BY WINDOWS. This
results in a computer malfunction - e-mail won´t work,
can´t start programs etc. How to cure this behaviour???

Most likely one of latest viruses or their variants. Install latest patches
from windowsupdate and perform full virus scan with up-to-date virus
scanner.
