I have Windows2000 Professional. After I've accessed the
internet for a short period of time I receive a message
that tells me there is an error with the svchost.exe file
and it will be closed. When this happens I lose the New
Mail function in Outlook Express and the copy function,
both in Outlook Express and Word. Thanks for any help you
can provide.

What makes you think it's a NetWare problem?

You're being hit by a virus through your Internet connection mate

Can't remember the name of it offhand, but I remember it being one of the major worms a few months back (mid 2003?), and giving me some problems with the company laptops I was looking after at the time. It attempts to exploit a hole in the Windows network stack, and often takes out the svchost process with it

There will be a patch on Windows Update to fix this, or better still the latest service pack. Also get yourself some AV protection, and ideally a firewall as well - but then you have that already don't you..?? To be honest, if you're connecting any Windows box to the Internet without both of these nowadays you're just asking for trouble.
