Due to some problems in my hard disk, I had to reinstall Windows 2000
Professional. After doing so, everything was running smoothly but of late,
Windows occassionally throws an error saying "An error occured in
svchost.exe. The program will now shut down". After this, I am not being
allowed to paste anything (though I can copy or cut). Neither am I being
allowed to open a new IE6 browser when I right-click a link & then select
"Open in a New Window" from the drop-down menu. How do I overcome this
problem?
Please note that when I open "Task Manager" & navigate to the "Processes"
tab, I find that svchost.exe is listed 3 times (before I encounter the above
error) but after the error, I find svchost.exe listed only twice!
Thanks,
