Hi,

I am recieving the following error message in the event
log, additionally when the error message pops ont he
screen several function of windows are locked I.E Internet
traffic, opening other windows, cut&paste etc. I have
looked at the KB and found the exact and applied the fix
but the error still occurs...please help!!!


Event ID 7031
"The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated
unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following
corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No
action"

but have you removed the virus ?

perhaps msblaster or similar

(http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform and online scan of your platform and report
back your results.

u r infected with blaster worm.

download sp3 and patch from ms

If he had the Lovsan/Blaster he wouldn't get that error, he'd get a shutdown error. Also,
SP3 wouldn't help and SP4 is the latest Service Pack. The patch for the RPC/RPCSS Buffer
Overflow Vulneraability (the the Lovsan/Blaster or the Nachi/Welchia worms exploit) is
addressed by Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-39 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824146

i don't think, that my computer is infected with this blaster worm...

You haven't stated one.

Just in case, please go to McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp) and/or
Trend (http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform and online scan of your platform and
report back your results.

Based upon those results, we can go on from there.

after a while being online the following error message appears:
svchost.exe hat einen fehler verursacht und wird geschlossen. starten sie
das programm neu. ein fehlerprotokoll wird erstellt.
svchost.exe occured an error und will be closed. start the program again....

what can i do against this problem?
