svchost.exe utilizing 100% memory

svchost.exe is utilizing 100% of the memory. This occurs
for approximately 1 hour, and then releases the memory.
The computer has been checked for viruses, which is does
not have. I have installed the microsoft patch for the
MSBlaster virus, as well as applied SP4. The problem
still persists.

You can get the tlist.exe program from the resource kit. It will allow you
to list out each proccess running within each instance of svchost to find
out exactly what it is that's causing your memory spikes.
