Hi,

While am stress testing my network application(which uses
modems and phone lines), I find at one point of time CPU
usage shoots upto 99% and it is svchost.exe which takes
the CPU time. After that I am not able to open any other
application in my PC, not even explorer.
I am not able to kill svchost.exe from task manager.
But once I kill my application, CPU utilization comes down.

Can anyone provide some help on this by replying to this
groups.

Regards,
anny

Go into your Services, look at the properties of any unknown or suspect
services, and see the program that gets loaded for that service. You
might discover a service you really do not want running, like Indexing
Service, or you might find a service you don't think should be running
and may be suspect.
