svchos1.exe and svchost.exe taking up all cpu power

A process called svchost.exe and svchos1.exe are taking
up all the cpu cycles on my computer so that everything
else works extremely slow. These two processes are
taking up 95% to 100% of my cpu power. please help.

When these two are running click on applications. What is running there? Did
you try shutting down virus scanners? How much memory have you got?
