SUS Permissions

My users do not have administrative permissions. If I run the
SoftwareUpdateService as an Admin vice SYSTEM, can it automatically install
software?

We have instaleld sus on our network and none of our users have admin rights but updates do install
we have only add a registry key I will find the link for you and post when i have it

SUS will work for non-admin users as long as you set AUOptions to 4
(that is the only setting that will make SUS install updates even
for non-admin users).


Below is an excerpt from the "Software Update Services Deployment
White Paper":

2 = notify of download and installation
3 = automatically download and notify of installation
4 = automatic download and scheduled installation.

All options notify the local administrator.
