SUS on 2000 server ( sync questions )

All,

We have deployed SUS on a w2k server and all is working
well with our clients however I am having increasing
difficultly syncing this server for updates with the
Microsoft site. Getting 404 errors "can't find the file
specified "
We use a proxy server but in the last few weeks it's
becoming default to get a good sync for patch updates.

Any idea's or is anyone else having similar problems?

Steve,

We are also seeing the issue on a newly developed SuS
server. It seems by my research tht there is a
possibility that the have disabled the site in question,
www.msus.windowsupdate.com. I can only naturally assume
this is because of the wonderful viruses we have been
seeing over the last week, especially those designed to
create a DoS on the windowsupdate.com website.

If you hear anything else, please post it....

Thanks, that was kind of our thoughts as well. You would
have figured though of all times to have it not up and
working so that organizations could stay ahead of the
game, this would not be that time. If we find out
anything will let you know.
