SUS Client?

Dear All,

I have a problem that I can't install the SUS Client to our win2000 and
winxp computer. even the system is new install , It haven't any error
message.
When I double -click the file (WUAU22cht.msi) that I downloaded from
microsoft web site. but it only show the message with "Microsoft Windows
Update Auto Update requires Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows XP "
I don't know why I can't install it . Pls Help to Solve this problem.

Hi Andrew,

The SUS client will not install on Windows 2000 SP3 or later machines
because the client is already installed. You will not need to install
Windows Auto Update on them. The website for Windows Automatic Update
client version 2.2 states that it is only needed for the specific versions
mentioned below:

System Requirements
This Automatic Update applies to the following operating systems:

Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack (SP) 2
Windows 2000 Server with SP2
Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP2
Windows XP Professional
Windows XP Home Edition

NOTE: It is not necessary to install this Automatic Update if you are
running
Windows 2000 with SP3 or later because it is already included.
