well first of all.. surferbar is adware... downloads
itself onto your computer and changes homepage..
everything. I got this when I was downloading Kazaa Lite
on my sister's computer [k-lite.tk].
Now I uninstalled it [I had to use elite skills :x] but
the problem is when you right click it still shows up on
the menu of what toolbars you can use for internet
explorer.
Uninstalling?
it planted itself in the folder C:\Program
Files\microsoft frontpage [copyright infringement?] and
then created a file named "win32.dll" in C:\Program Files
So I delete the win32.dll since it's obviously bs
but when I try to delete microsoft frontpage it's in
use... so I boot to safe mode [run > msconfig > under
boot.ini] and delete it and boot back to normal windows.
so basically how do you get rid of that thing that says
surfer bar? It's no longer there, it's not detected by Ad-
Aware [yes I updated it] or Spybot - Search & Destroy
[v1.2]
the homepage, surferbar.com does not contain any
uninstall links.
Can I sue them and become a millionaire? that would be
ownage
