Supress page numbers in TOC

I don't understand how to supress page numbers and the leaders on certain Headers in my table of contents.

When I use the Edit/Field/TOC option, everything goes blank so that I can't see anything but the page numbers...exactly opposite of what I want.

I had attached the simplest of examples to a previous note, but this is apparently not allowed, as the message didn't get posted.

I want "Header 1" and "Header 2" to appear in the Table of Contents WITHOUT the leader dots, and WITHOUT page
numbers.

I sure would appreciate someone showing me in a document that you can send to me, or explain in a detailed way how to accomplish this.

My sincerce thanks,
Bernie

In the Index and Tables dialog, (the one that you use to insert the table of
contents), click on the Modify button on the Table of Contents tab which
will result in a Style dialog being displayed. Select the styles in
question (TOC 1 and TOC 2) - one at a time - and then click on the Modify
button which will cause the Modify Style dialog to appear, then click on the
Format button in that dialog and select the Tabs item. Now uncheck the
leader radio button and replace the existing tab setting with one that will
be way off the right hand side of the page.

You can suppress page numbers (and leaders) for specific heading levels
using the \n switch. See
