suppress last blank page

Song Su

I have a report to print instructors' roster with student name listing. I
groupped by instructor with force new page before so each instructor is on
his/her own page.

Report preview is fine, with each instructor on his/her own page without
blank page.

However, if I print, it always print 1 additional blank page at the end.
That means:

If I select print page 1-1, it print 2 pages with last one blank.

If I have 5-page report, I select print all, it'll print 6 pages with last
one blank.

If I select print page to PDF printer page 1-1, it prints correctly 1 page
as pdf file.

How to suppress that last blank page printout?

Thanks.

Song Su,

I'm assuming you have Page Break in the Instructor section Footer to cause a new page.
Try removing the Page Break from the section you have it in, and set the the Force New
Page property for that section to After Section.

I do not remember if I set up page break at instructor section footer. I do
not see any control in that section.
How to see it? or select it?
If I set that section visible to NO, will quivilent to removing page break?

Thanks for your help.

Song Su,
Well, I can't be sure where it might be for sure... a page break looks like a little
row of dots about 1/2 inch or so.
You may not have one at all, but that is the most common cause of "blank last page"

If you can't find a PageBreak anywhere on the report, then how are you page feeding
after Instructor group? Check that out, (and ALL groups) as to If or How you have the
ForceNewPage set. Post back with that info...

Tip:
A useful tool for the design Toolbox is the Object combo box. It shows all the Objects
on a form or report by name, and if you click that name in the combo, it will highlight
that control. Very useful for finding objects in design mode. IF you did place a
PageBreak somewhere, and didn't name it, it would probably show on the objects list as
PageBreak0.
To install... Right click the Toolbox and select Customize. Under
Commands/FormsReportsDesign, drag the Object combo to your Toolbox.

Al Campagna,

Thank you for your help. I print at home no problem. I print at work,
problem. I discovered that the printer setting at work is A4 instead of
Letter. problem solved.
