How to suppress last page

Michele Hamilton

I am new to the newsgroup and fairly new to Access, but doing extemely well
due to a great teacher!

I read an archive from February about suppressing a last blank page in the
report. I print out a 9 page report and on EVERYTHING I have done in
Access, I get a blank last page.. he commented that it was a DUH thing:)

But he didn't say HOW he stopped it.. could someone please enlighten me? I
have people breathing down my neck to stop it:)

Thanks so much!!

Michele:)

I agree, it would have been helpful for him to have stated this so that he
could help others as he hoped to be helped.

Typical problems are when you have Force New Page after a Group Footer
section and you also have a report footer section open (even slightly will
do it!)

Another possibility is that you have a Keep Together Whole Group in your
sorting Grouping box - especially on the Details section - and your report
is having a nervous breakdown trying to cope.

Also possible, you have a Page Break control in there which you have
forgotten about (check in the Object box under the File menu for this)

Or you may have set your detail section so that it is just that bit too big
to go on one page (remember to count in the top and bottom margins and then
add a tad to that) and have set the section or its control's Can Shrink
property to No or have a line (nicely hidden in design view) which is
holding the section open)

Try shading sections in your report. It often helps you to see what is
overlapping.
