Suppress blank chart legend data

I have a chart based on a parameter crosstab query so I
have had to specify the column headings under the query's
Properties, Column Headings. Consequently the chart
legend always displays the full list of columns but the
query may return less than the full list depending on the
user selection.

Is there any way of having the chart legend only display
the column headings that are returned by the query?
