SupportSoft on an XP. What is it?

Anyone know what SupportSoft software on my XP might be for?

I know of their site but I've never purchased anything from them.

In ProgramFiles there is a folder support.com which I'm guessing belongs to
it.
All the sub folders are empty except that bin has 3 .dll's

It also appears in me Add or Remove Programs list.

What is the name of the Roadrunner magic software?
The dialog box use to pop up when my service was not good.
I no longer need it but don't know where the file is.

I'm having trouble with the computer hanging on boot and like to get rid of
anything I don't use - especially the services.

Does your machine Manufactuer by DELL?
DELL use this Desktop remote servie software when they troubleshoot your
machine problem if you contact them.
 
Rereading the link on supportsoft site made me come to a conclusion and
best if you uninstall it.
