Does anyone know what this is at all? I get an error
whenever i start windows that says supporter5.exe has
encountered a fatal error.

What is this thing and is it having any reprocussions on
any parts of my computer?

Also, this is the base station of a wireless network
between three computers. Lately the network isn't
working. Only this base station receives internet
access? What is going on?

Thank you in advance,
Michael Sassounian

Sounds like it is part of the eScorcher Antivirus package.

Try uninstalling it, and see if the error goes away. Once you are sure it
is gone, you may want to try reinstalling it. If the problem comes back
after you re-install it, you should see if there is an update for the
problem. If there isn't, you might want to go looking for a better AV
program.

If you are sure that your network configuration is correct, a virus could
very easily be the cause of your networking problems.
Such viruses as Blaster or Welchia are known to produce the symptoms that
you are observing.

Well i use norton antivirus....Maybe escorcher is still
on my computer? i'll go check it out.
