Support Incidents

As a new member of Technet, I'm trying to understand what my support options
are.

At support.microsoft.com, it states that "2 support requests submitted
online or by a phone call are included at no charge". With Technet I have "
two (2) complimentary incidents". My questions are:

* Are the exactly the same types of incidents? Will I receive the same level
of support with each one?

* With Technet, does that then mean I have FOUR free support incidents
instead of two?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I had already read through that pretty thoroughly,
however.

Although the FAQ describes Technet pretty well, it does not describe
the difference between the free incidents I get with my Microsoft
product and the incidents that are part of my Technet subscription. And
I still don't know if I should now have four incidents instead of two.

Thanks! I'll do that.

However, this raises another interesting question. Why isn't this topic
available here? I posted to this group because it's the closest that I could
find to what I really wanted to ask about of the ones available in the
dropdown.

It's not an issue of what's available here. This is a peer to peer
support newsgroup, and the people who post in these newsgroups are all
volunteers - though occasionally an MS employee will post here on their
own. It's an issue of expertise. There might not be anyone who
frequents this group who who has seen the question and knows the answer.
Best to post in the group where the experts for that topic spend their
time.

If I had to guess at your question I would say you have four. Two from
the purchase of XP and two from the Technet subscription, but that's
just a guess.
