I have my Windows XP-Pro SP2 set to receive automatic updates. For
about a month now the same update has run every night when I shut the
PC. I would like to know if the update actually installs successfully
and if so, why does it continue to install again -- over and over?

Today I did a manual update of KB954459 without shutting down windows.
After that, I examined two log files: msxml6-KB954459-enu-x86.LOG and
WindowsUpdate.log:

still in the system tray. When I open the shield it wants to install
the same update again. What is happening?
