Sumproduct question and why cant I find my previous questions?

Paul

First...why can I not find my previous posts? Is there a trick to finding
them?

Second.....I have a long list of data with a date field, I want to be able
to sum it up by month and year. So in one tab I have the raw data by date.
In another tab, what I want to be able to do is:

Year
2009 2010
Month
Jan ??? ???
Feb ??? ???
Mar ??? ???

One way to find them is to put your user name (Paul) into the Search For:
box and then hit Go.

This will echo back with the the postings that it has found in the
particular section (for example Excel General Questions).

Please hit Yes if my comments have helped.

Thanks.

Hi Paul

I am assuming you have Dates in column A and some data in column B, and that
A1 are labelled Date and Values
Place cursor in A1>Data>Pivot Table>Finish
On the PT skeleton that appears on a new page,
drag Date from the Field list to the Row area
drag Values to the Data area

Place cursor on the first date in the PT>Right clcik>Group and Outline>Group
Select Month AND Year>OK
Drag Year to the Column area
