Summary by Group in Report Footer

I have a report with a group header (Customer). The detail shows individual
purchases and returns. I want to put a summary of the Customer Purchases and
Returns in the report footer. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The report footer would look like this:

Purchases Returns
Customer A 1,000 100
Customer B 2,000 200
Customer C 3,000 300

How do I generate the report footer data?

Create a small report based on a total query that sums Purchases and Returns
by Customer. Add this report as a subreport to the Report Footer of your
main report.
