Sum & Appending in Access

Does anyone out there know if it's possible to sum and
append a field a query using access? I'd seeking to do
everything in one step, not two. Please feel free to
share your ideas with me.

Could you please give some more details. Maybe an example would help
make clear what you are trying to do.
