SUGGESTIONS??

Hi All, (sorry, reposted this cos of new info added)

I need help desperately here. My puter is running WinXP
Pro, and when it boots up (after logging on) and I lose
the Start Menu Bar. It is visible, yet doesnt work at
all?!? I can click on it to my hearts content, but it will
not respond at all. I can close explorer.exe using Task
Manager, then restart it the same way, but once the Start
menu restarts, the same thing happens.

Any Ideas??? The whole puter seems to be slowing down
dramatically too, which I'm told is usually a result of a
full HDD, which is not possible in my case, as I still
have HEAPS of free memory. RAM is also not a problem since
I have 768Mb, and also I 64Mb Vid Card too. I've tested my
Vid card, and that isn't the problem. SO what the hell is
going on?? Oh, and all virus checks, and Ad-Aware checks
have come up negative.

Also, when trying to use Recovery Console on my XP Pro
disc, I don't know the Administrator Password?? Is this
the same as my WinLogon Admin Password, or is it
different? Because the one I use for the Admin Profile
doesn't work for me.

I'd appreciate any and all help you guys can offer, as I
really miss my computer... (
