Suddenly, Sims doesn't work!

Hey there!
My daughters (and I!) love to play The Sims and I would
always use it in my Dell computer without any problem.
(Windows XP Home Edition.) One day, without any prior
error message, whenever I try to access the game I get
the following message: "The Sims has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
incovenience" I sent the error report and even filled the
survey but I havent heard from anyone! I tried the CD in
another computer and it works! So the problem has to be
in my computer. How can I solve this?? Thanks! Karen

Thanks... I tried B and C. Seems like I have to
reinstall. Is there a way to reinstall without losing my
houses??

Hi,

This article offers some clues as to where those saved games
are kept: http://www.techimo.com/forum/t74307.html however,
do not replace those saved games until the game works again.
