Occassionally (about every other day) I click on a link or file and computer
suddenly restarts (like hitting reset). After restarting I find that
"KernelFaultCheck" has been put in my startup file list which is linked to a
file in Windows\system32\dumprep o-k

Does this mean anything to anyone? Can this sudden restart be fixed?

Right Click on My Computer
Click on Properties
Click on "Advanced" tab
Click on "Setting" in "Startup and Recovery" section.
Uncheck "Automatically Restart"

Now, your Windows will show you the true error when it happensm instead of
restarting.
