All of a sudden, my postage printing application Dazzle gets an error
when it attempts to access my outlook address book. Previously I would
get the message box that an application was trying to access the address
book and was that ok.. now I get an error that says “Outlook interface
error: Unable to communicate with Outlook.Application {Class ID
0006F03A……} error 2147942526 with a bunch of zeroes after the class ID
value that I copied.

Any thoughts? Very frustrating.

TIA.

And Dazzle support said???

Did you go into the registry and check if a key is defined and has data
items under it for that class ID (which you truncated so no one else can
check if it is defined and has values)? Maybe that class id doesn't point
at Outlook. Maybe it was used by prior versions of Outlook but not anymore
which means your program needs an update to work with the latest version of
Outlook.

If http://www.endicia.com/endicia-usa/support/FAQrpt.cfm doesn't help then
you'll have to call them. This is not an issue with Outlook.

Sorry about that.. Class ID is {0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Dazzle support is currently puzzled.

THIS WORKED FINE FOR A YEAR, NO UPGRADES TO DAZZLE OR TO OUTLOOK aside
from the Microsoft update service.

Unsurprisingly, Dazzle support believes this is a problem with OUTLOOK.

Some things to try: create a new mail profile and see if that helps. Run a
Detect and Repair on Outlook. Think of what changed between the last time
it worked and now and see if you can isolate it. Uninstall and reinstall
the Dazzle software. Use a system restore point from when it did work.
