Hello
I have been using windows mail since July last year with no problems until
today when I received this message trying to send email-
An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'just a test page', Account:
'pop.supanet.com', Server: 'smtp.sky.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

Supanet is my old dial up email account from the days when they were my ISP.
I now use Sky braodband. I've looked at the other questions posted but none
seem to have quite the same error message. I have deleted the supanet
account and tried to send through my sky account but it still won't work.

Can anyone help?

Does your connection to this server cross from one internet provider's
equipment to another's? If so, such connections to port 25 are often
blocked to cause trouble for spammers. You might check if you can
use some other port instead, which usually gets around this problem.

Check if you are set up correctly for Sky:

If you can't read .pdf files, look here for the software needed to
do it:

"Unknown error" means that your send request did not even make it
as far as the server. Uninstall your incompatible antivirus program
and try sending again.
