Sudden Freezes !...

For no apparent reason - my PC has suddenly started to periodically freeze
i.e. cursor doesn't respond,no sound, no response what so ever ( Caps/Del
etc will not work)

Even when I reboot nothing happens they only resolution is to leave the unit
for an hour and try again.

It happens when I least expect it - I wasn't even on the internet just
typing a word doc - which I have since returned too and completed with no
problems

I would greatly appreciate any input - pointers

Something's overheating then. The time delay allows the device to cool
down. Is the power supply fan running? How about the fan on the
graphics card and any other within the tower?

There's at least 2 fans usually, one in the power supply, and one on the
CPU. There may be one on the video card as well.
