Certificate for user authentication
A self-signed certficate with p12 extension is imported in the personal
folder using IE8. A messagebox says that the certificate was imported
correctly.
Closing the browser the certificate disappears.
The same behaviour occours importing it with certmgr.msc. The messagebox
says that the certificate was imported, it is even possible to display its
details, but closing and reopening certmgr.msc the cerficate disappears.
The same operations were tested using another user on the same computer:
this time everything worked as expected, so the problem is not in the
certificate.
Any suggestions on what to try to solve or debug this weird problem before
erasing the profile of that user ?
